About Us
-
Established in 2007, the Fountain Inn Museum is a nonprofit organization focused on preserving the history, heritage, and culture of small town Upcountry South Carolina. We have made it our mission to serve our community, and to provide educational opportunities to our visitors. With this in mind, we pay special attention to the development of Fountain Inn and Greenville and Laurens Counties and seek to find innovative ways to share insights from the past.
With visitors from China to Germany and more than half the states in the United States, the Fountain Inn Museum is playing an integral part in the revitalization of our central business district. The museum has become a must see venue to visitors and residents alike. With a growing restaurant and retail base, the museum joins such attractions as the Younts Center for the Performing Arts, the Fountain Inn Farmers Market, the Summer Concert Series, and much more to create an exciting destination not seen in many communities our size.

EVENTS
We have some great events you will want to attend.
Do you want to see Jones Mill from the eyes of a drone? This is a 200+ year old grist mill here in Fountain Inn. The museum has hopes of getting this restored for all to enjoy.
